Brow Lift
Lift and rejuvenate the upper face
Refined, natural results that restore brightness and balance to the forehead and brow — delivered by Board-certified facial plastic surgeons.
A brow lift elevates the eyebrows and smooths forehead lines to restore an open, refreshed appearance to the upper face. As we age, the forehead and brows descend, causing heaviness around the eyes and contributing to a tired or stern expression. A well-planned brow lift restores balance, light, and natural movement to the upper third of the face — without an overdone or "surprised" appearance.
At Hillser, all brow lift procedures are consultant-led. Our surgeons consider each patient's unique anatomy and facial proportions to achieve subtle, harmonious rejuvenation that complements the eyes, forehead, and surrounding features. Depending on your anatomy and hairline position, your surgeon will recommend the most appropriate technique — endoscopic or coronal — to achieve the most natural and balanced result.

What the procedure involves
A brow lift is performed as a day-case procedure under general anaesthetic or local anaesthetic with sedation. Two surgical approaches are available depending on your anatomy:
Endoscopic lift — small incisions are placed just behind the hairline, through which fine instruments and a small camera are used. The muscles responsible for frown lines are released and the forehead and brow are elevated. This minimally invasive technique offers reduced scarring and a quicker recovery for suitable candidates.
Coronal lift — incisions are made along the top of the forehead, concealed behind the hairline. This approach is often preferred for patients with a broader forehead or more significant brow descent.
In both approaches, excess skin is removed where necessary, the brow is secured at a higher, natural position, and fine sutures are placed to minimise visible scarring.
Benefits
Raises the brow to a more natural, youthful position while maintaining natural expression and movement.
Softens frown lines and forehead creases for a rested, refreshed appearance — without an overdone look.
Opens the eye area, reducing upper eyelid heaviness and restoring brightness to the upper face.
Creates smoother, more balanced upper-face contours with long-lasting results.
Recovery and aftercare
A light dressing is applied after surgery and typically removed within five days. Mild bruising and swelling around the forehead and eyes is normal and usually resolves within two weeks. Temporary numbness or tightness of the forehead and scalp can occur and gradually improves as healing progresses.
Most patients return to work and daily activities within approximately two weeks. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for three weeks. Hillser's nursing team provides detailed aftercare guidance and follow-up appointments throughout recovery.
Consultation and Candidacy
Your consultation at Hillser includes a thorough analysis of your facial features, brow position, hairline, and forehead structure. Our consultants discuss your goals, outline realistic outcomes, and explain the technique best suited to your anatomy.
Good candidates are healthy adults — men and women — wishing to correct brow descent, forehead lines, or heaviness around the eyes without altering their natural expression. For some patients, combining a brow lift with upper eyelid surgery provides the most complete and balanced result.
Individual factors including skin elasticity, tissue volume, ethnic background and underlying bone structure all influence the surgical approach and quality of result — each of these is assessed carefully at consultation.
